nothing wasted

This post is straight from my journal after I read the following verse. It's a bit "fragmented", but at the same time...totally fits the "theme".

John 6:12 gather up the leftovers so that nothing is wasted.

Even if all we have is pieces "left", God will use them. He will collect them and waste none of it. He uses all of us. The broken and the messy.

He can take those pieces and make new. Not the same as what we were, but different-better-with a story that can only give glory back to Him. The very one who picked up the pieces of our broken.

The process continues. We're never fully "not" broken-until heaven. We're put back together over and over again-with the Lord perfecting us more and more each time we're put together. Broken pieces creating His masterpiece.

A masterpiece that when we see it in heaven will make sense. We will see how the cracks filled and put back together created something even more stunning than before.

God sees us. All of us from the very moment he formed us in our mother's womb to the exact moment we are with him for eternity.

God isn't wasteful. He doesn't NOT use anything. He can (and will) turn whatever we have into something beautiful--we have to be willing vessels. We have to be empty of ourselves and open to be full of Him and all he has to offer.

"Our epic adventure DOES affect eternity!"

We have the opportunity to tell His story with our lives. For HIS glory and gain.

God takes the messes we make and redeems them all.
